Grassroots Football of Bangladesh Launched the Grassroots Zones in 3 (Three) different Districts

The Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) has launched a dynamic initial approach to the development of Grassroots Football in the Divisions and Districts of Bangladesh.
The commitment will be to support the development of Grassroots Football initiatives, activities and programmes throughout Bangladesh. The concept will be to encourage as many players, coaches, officials and people as possible through football to participate in coordinated and organised grassroots
programmes. The Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) will have a Grassroots Programme in each of the following Regions, Feni, Madaripur and Nilphamari. These 3 (three) zones activities started from 18 November 2020. Each zone has 200 boys and 60 girls, age range between 8 to 18 years. The activities will continue 7 days a week throughout the year. Each player will participate in 3 training sessions per week. The Initiatives will consist of continuous Football Programmes with Activities for Players. The amenities will be the central focus for the delivery of Grassroots Football activities in the region and will focus on providing initiatives to all with a weekly balanced and structured Football programme. As 2021 approaches the vision will be to have Grassroots activities in all the Divisions with a real concerted effort in exploring the rural areas of Bangladesh with a Nationwide programe.
The Honourable president of the Bangladesh Football Federation Mr Kazi Salahuddin commented; “Not every grassroots player may make a National team player, but every National Team player started out in Grassroots Football.” As part of the commitment to develop Grassroots Football Nationwide within Bangladesh, it’s important for such a concept to have leaders and role models. With immense excitement, Mr Jamal Bhuyan and Ms Sabina Khutan, the respective captains of the National Teams of Bangladesh are the Grassroots ambassadors and supporters of the Federation’s drive towards Grassroots Football.

Grassroots Football of Bangladesh BFF AFC Grassroots Coaching Course 2020

The Federation of Bangladesh have launched an innovative program of Grassroots Courses nationwide in Bangladesh. The support of the Grassroots Coaches will complement the development of young players at the Football ‘Hubs’ within the Divisions. As part of the strive to improve and support the quality of coaching at all levels of the game. The Coach Education Department have implemented a 5 (five) day long Grassroots Courses which will equip all the Grassroots Coaches with the necessary fundamental coaching skills to then be more effective with younger players nationwide in Bangladesh. In total 5 (Five) coaching course will be started in November and December around 200 coaches are taking part n the course. BFF AFC Grassroots Coaching Course 2020 started below: schedule: 1. Dinajpur and Savar, Dhaka from 23-27 November 2020 2. BFF House, Dhaka from 24-28 November 2020 3. Khulna and Sylhet from 18-22 December 2020 The Honorable Vice President and Chairman of Technical Committee of the Bangladesh Football Federation Mr. Mohiuddin Ahmed Mohi commented: “We are again refreshed by this added addition to our Coaching Education Scheme. This will in no doubt assist our Grassroots Coaches in their endeavors with players.” The General Secretary of the Bangladesh Football Federation Mr. Abu Nayeem Shohag commented: “The Technical Department is working tirelessly in their efforts to meet all our objectives and key targets. I am excited by this new venture as we will now support our young players in the Divisions with better knowledgeable Coaches.”

Grassroots Football of Bangladesh Celebrated ‘International Disability Day 2020’

Today (03-12-2020) The Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) celebrated ‘International Disability Day 2020’ by hosting a Festival of Football fun and games on the BFF Astroturf. Together with their partners ARDIRD organized a festival of Football activities and matches. With differing disability groups representing their respective teams Football again proved to be the winner.

This festival started with a football tournament. A total of eight teams including (2) two physically challenged football teams, (4) four deaf and hard of hearing football teams and (2) two Pan disability football teams participated in the tournament. A total number of 80 (eighty) players with different disabilities attended this festival.

The event was attended by the Senior Vice President of Bangladesh Football Federation Mr. Abdus Salam Murshedy M. P., BFF Vice President Mr. Mohiuddin Ahmmed Mohi, BFF Executive Committee members Mr. Zakir Hossain Chowdhury, Mr. Tipu Sultan, Mr. Md. Iliyas Hossain, Mr. Mohidur Rahman Miraj and BFF General Secretary Mr. Md. Abu Nayeem Shohag along with BFF Technical Director Mr. Paul Thomas Smalley were present as the chief guests at the inaugural festival.

Also present were Mr. Badiuzzaman Al Amin, Executive Director of Association for Research Development and Rights Implementation for Disabilities (ARDRID), and Mr. Iftekhar Hossain Shohel, President of the Sports and Cultural Society of the Disabled (SCSD).

This day-long program ended by giving medals to all participants along with trophies to both teams.

Completion and certificate distribution ceremony of BFF AFC Grassroots Coaching Course 2020

The completion and certificate distribution ceremony of BFF AFC Grassroots Coaching Course 2020 started on the initiative of Bangladesh Football Federation was held on Tuesday 22nd December 2020. A total of 66 participants from Sylhet and Khulna BKSP participated in this course. Everyone has successfully passed the course. BFF AFC Grassroots Coaching Course 2020 started from 16th December 2020 in Sylhet and Khulna BKSP. The five-day coaching course was attended by 33 students in Sylhet and 33 in Khulna.

Coach Educators Mr. Hasan Al Masood and Mr. Shahidul Haque Jewel were the instructors in the Sylhet zone of the course. BFF Executive Member Mr. Mahi Uddin Ahmed Selim was present as the special guest at the certificate distribution ceremony.
